A yacht charter allows you to hire a yacht for a specific period. You can enjoy the luxury of sailing while exploring beautiful destinations. It’s a unique way to experience the sea with family or friends.
Why use a charter broker?
As brokers we get to see the whole yacht charter market and with years of experience, we have shortlisted the best suppliers. We are an unbiased third party, who will advise you to choose the most suitable yacht and destination for your needs and skills. You will receive the same price as if you went straight to the company, but without the knowledge and expertise to make sure you get the best deal.
Can I charter a yacht for a couple of days?
Whilst charter companies in the Mediterranean are required to be 7 days, Saturday to Saturday, there are day charters available. The Caribbean are much more relaxed and shorted charters of 5 days are allowed during peak times. However, during the Christmas period this increases to 7-10 days.
What is a bareboat charter?
A bareboat charter is when there is no hired help or skipper. It is the purest form of sailing, however a qualified member of crew is required to be responsible for the yacht.
Do I need qualifications to charter bareboat?
In the Mediterranean yes, a minimum of a Day Skipper, ICC or an ASA104 will suffice, however this is dependent on the destination and the company. For the Caribbean you require experience on similar sized vessels, which can be backed up. Please contact one of our brokers to find out what qualifications or experience you require.
