Hiking trails lead past whitewashed chapels and the Castle of the Knights of St. John to the abandoned village of Chorio.
- Day 2
Chalki to Tilos, 18Nm
The mountainous terrain of the island has an abundance of plants, wildlife, and magnificent views, making this island a haven for walkers, and indeed anyone who appreciates nature in general.
- Day 3
Tilos to NiSyros, 18Nm
The island is popular for the famous Nisyros volcano, the youngest volcano in Greece, which is still active! Except for its unique geology, Nisyros also has some picturesque little villages. Especially Mandraki and Nikia villages stand out for their traditional architecture and terrific views. As for Nisyros beaches, they are clean and peaceful, ideal for those who want to enjoy long relaxing days by the sea! For those of a non-beachy disposition, there are many activities to do on the island, such as island hopping to the nearby Kos, nature exploration and strolling around Mandraki, the island’s centre of activities.
- Day 4
NiSyros to Kos, 28Nm
The Island of Kos has a mountainous terrain and features several high peaks. The lowland landscape of the island is defined by fertile flat lands and the highlands are generally not arable. This is one of the interesting contrasts that define its topography. The town of Kos is also the main port of the island and the main population centre and cultural hub of the Kos Island. The town is an elegant mix of old structures and archaeological landmarks and modern trimmings.
- Day 5
Kos to Leros,, 28Nm
Leros is a mythical island. According to the myth, Leros island was where the ancient Greek goddess of hunting, Artemis, used to go for hunting, thanks to the island’s large deer population. But Leros doesn’t only have a mythological past, but also a historical one. Leros’ enduring history is reflected in monuments such as the impressive Medieval castle and hides inside the island’s museums. Leros is dotted with picturesque villages. The most popular of them are Alinda and Agia Marina, where many hotels are located. Except for quaint villages and rich history, Leros also boasts magnificent beaches, which are known for their crystal clear water and fascinating seabed.
- Day 6
Leros to Patmos, 20Nm
Patmos island, which is also known as the “Island of the apocalypse”, has a strong spiritual character. But it is also one of the most beautiful Greek islands to visit. Chora, the capital of Patmos is not only the island’s centre of activities but also a very charming village. Its narrow alleys and the amazing view of the Aegean Sea make it a perfect place for wandering. What’s more, in Chora you’ll find many Patmos hotels, studios, and apartments.
- Day 7
Patmos to Kounoupa, 48Nm
A unique historical site where submarines used to hide away during the Second World War. Crystal-clear waters, caves and boulders for diving. While you are exploring the surrounding area, it is the perfect time to cook up a meal and enjoy lunch at one of the most memorable places in the world.
- Day 8
Kounoupa to Rhodes, 84Nm
As the largest of the Dodecanese Islands in Greece, Rhodes is undoubtedly one of the highest sought after escapes in the area. Even before anchoring down in the medieval harbour you can see what it is that attracts thousands of visitors every week of the year.
