The second smallest country in the world, the Principality of Monaco, tops the chart when rated on luxury. A Ligurian fishing village-turned-coastal-resort, Santa Margherita is located on perhaps the most famous stretch of the Riviera. With chic Portofino a short stroll to the south and buzzy Rapallo to the north, Santa Margherita offers all the best parts of the Riviera, but with slightly less footfall.

One of Europe’s most famous summer playgrounds. The international jet set has been flocking here since the 1960s, drawn to Saint Tropez’s beaches and nightlife. Saint Tropez isn’t just about beach parties and celebrity spotting, it is also great for culture, you can admire the Mediterranean-style architecture, while walking down the streets of the old time and as well visit some of the most famous Provence vineyards.

Of course, when talking about Cannes, we inevitably think about the International Film Festival and la Croisette, the unmissable seafront promenade. The capital of cinema is known worldwide for its trade fairs but also for its prestigious luxury hotels frequented by film stars and other wealthy tourists.
